love hurts whether it's right or wrong *
Featherstar is what some could call 'free spirited' however this isn't completely true. She isn't your innocent freespirited type. More like the type who has a harsh sense of honesty and pride shown through sarcasim and jokes. When you hear her name you expect 'gentle' but she acts more brutal as if she needs to be taimed. However if you ask her this is why she got so far in her ranking. She was a good warrior and never disobeayed the Warrior code nor her leader's orders. If her leader said to do something she would not even question him. She would instantly respond by taking action. Even though she was strong some questioned that she was a follower and not a leader. Eventually she proved herself after taking charge when a plan went wrong and a patrol party was nearly killed.
After that night where the patrol party was attacked cats immidiately began to look to her for guidence when the leader wasn't around. Some even preferred her over the deputy. So, when it comes down to leadership Featherstar is the first to take charge and boy does she love that leadership spot. She will use her power and bend it in any way she can think of. Some could say she's power hungry and find it accurate. But she's anything but stupid. She is not out to grab the entire forest by storm only to seek what's best for her clan. If you ask her what she has in mind of what's best for her clan she'll only respond one way. Featherclaw is not looking for war for her clan but if someone tries to step on ShadowClan she isn't hesitent to show some muscle.

Featherstar's kit-hood is completely a mystery. All that fills this empty blank memory is rumors that elders have filled her mind with. She was mocked for her slender body and long legs. They claimed she was a WindClan cat and they wanted to get rid of her immidiately. Another rumor was that she was a damaged WindClan cat and that there was something terribly wrong with her so they just threw her away. That's another lie. Although, in the rumors one thing remans constant. WindClan blood. Is it true? Or isn't it? Only StarClan knows and holds those early memories near to them making it obvious that nobody will find out nor will anyone question her loyalty once she proves herself in battle. Why wasn't Featherstar gotten rid of as a cat? Well it seemd as if a group of tom-kits had immidiately taken a liking to her. This large group of kits were loyal ShadowClan cats and their mother saw how attached they got to her. So she adopted the kit. However cats started to question the mother about adopting the supposed WindClan cat and so she was very rough when it came to diciplin on the kit. She was so much harsh on Featherstar then she was with all her other kits. On top of that her brothers were massive and much more sly then Featherstar. So she had to learn how to take her mothers criticisem and her brother's massive tackles and attacks. Featherstar became one of the toughest bad-mouthing kits in the camp and all of the other kits became afraid of her.
Her apprentice years is when she started craving to be the best. Once she entered the den her brothers and the other apprentices got so much further ahead of her that she would ask her mentor to stay out all night with her to practice. When he told her no she'd sneak in his den at night and bother him until he woke up. He'd get mad and personally escort the apprentice back to her den questioning if she was ready to be trained since she was acting so kit like. But what no one knew was she just wanted to laern more and more. She had a craving to be the best and to know everything there is to know. At one point in her apprentice hood she started automatically following her mentor into his den at night. Eventually the other warriors stopped finding it so entertaining and started getting angry with her.
She didn't catch up so quickly but when she did, boy could she kick some butt. After she caught up it wasn't long for her to gain her her warrior name of Featherstep because of her quickness when she ran only making the rumors that she had WindClan blood stronger. Though every time she heard it she would turn and smirk with only two responces. One on ocasion she would respond with "scared that a WindClan cat can kick your butt?" But that only thickened the rumors so she switched over to. "Question my blood is like me questioning your ability to make dirt. Question me again, go ahead. Let's find out where this exhilarating conversation takes us." Cats responded much differently to the second one so she kept it.
The first time she prooved herself in battle everyone was relieved that she was a true ShadowClanner fighting against what they thought was her old clan. It wasn't enough though. She wanted to prove herself time and time again. If she was any more anxcious about it she'd be sitting at the WindClan border waiting for one of them to attack. She volenteered to go on every single patrol that came up. Cats would laugh when she would happily trot into battle while all others were tense and nervous.
Throughout her life she was quite the cat. She stuck out to the leader all along and when the other warriors looked towards her for guidence rather then their current deputy that was more then convincing to make her his next deputy. Someetimes the leader thought about forcing his current deputy to step down so that she could because the other warriors wouldn't even consider the current deputy's orders even a suggestion. Once the deputy mysteriously vanished the clan expected Featherstep to be deputy and the decision was final before he could even think.
The rest was history, the brave leader dying in battle and Featherstep stepping up and becoming Featherstar. That pretty much leads up to today. Since she became leader she takes great pride in the fact that there has been peace along her borders though tension has been high she's confident that no matter what fight comes her way she will keep her clan safe.
